During a meeting with manufacturers and importers of spare parts, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Claudio Farías, evaluated strategies to facilitate access to spare parts through 60-day credits.
In a publication on its Instagram account, the Ministry of Popular Power for Transport, Farías said that the meeting was held following the instructions of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the Minister of Transportation, Jacqueline Faria.
In that regard, he explained that “here we are, with importers, manufacturers of parts and spare parts. This group of businessmen is demonstrating their willingness to work hand in hand with the Ministry of Transportation, (National Urban Transport Fund) FONTUR, to provide a solution to carriers; a 60-day loan, initially in Caracas, where we are going to do the operation soon, so that they can count on those inputs, with those spare parts and can continue working for Caracas.”
The initiative, which will be coordinated through FONTUR, seeks to ensure that carriers have the necessary supplies to maintain their operating units and thus strengthen mobility in the country.
