National and regional governments meet to
advance the planning of the traditional Carnivals of El Callao,
Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco.
This was announced by the governor of the
state of Bolivar, Yulisbeth García, through her account on the social network
Instagram, in which she highlighted the meeting she held with the Minister of Popular
Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, to advance the organization of the Tourist Carnivals For Love of Bolivar
2026, under the motto: My carnival is historic and so am I.
“Following every
direction of our president in charge, " role="link" >@delcyrodriguezv, with all the
support of the Ministry of Tourism, we will honor what is ours, our culture and
traditions, from El Callao and in every corner of our Bolivar state,” said García.
The carnivals will be held in the
municipality of El Callao from February 12 to 17 for family and
community sharing, with a combination of calypso, history and culture.
At the celebration there will be 800
Half Paintings, iconic characters from the El Callao Carnival, who are organized to walk the streets to the rhythm of
calypso.
