Bolivarian Government oversees rehabilitation in the La Guaira hospital network

With the objective of strengthening the regional public health network, regional authorities inspected comprehensive rehabilitation work at the Dr. José María Vargas Hospital of the IVSS and at the Macuto Ana Teresa de Jesús Ponce Maternal and Child Hospital in La Guaira state.

These works, carried out by the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services together with the Together Everything Is Possible Corporation, optimize the spaces allocated to medical care for the people of Guaire, according to the Ministry of Popular Power for Health.

During the tour of the José María Vargas hospital, the governor of the region, José Alejandro Terán, stressed that the work is carried out in simultaneous phases to accelerate response times and avoid discomfort or interruptions in patients' medical services.

In this regard, he explained that the first stage prioritizes roof waterproofing, with a goal of 8,000 square meters programmed and a progress that is expected to be completed in a period of three to four weeks. Thanks to the fact that their cover was previously operated on, neuralgic areas such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are already receiving the work corresponding to the second phase. In addition, pumping systems, water storage, electrical backup, air conditioning and elevators are serviced.
