On the Pedro Ramos court, located in the Guillén de Cagua sector, Sucre municipality of the state of Aragua, the official presentation of the National Sports Plan 2026, an initiative of the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports, took place.
The event was attended by important regional and national sports authorities, including the vice-president of the Regional Sports Institute of Aragua (IRDA), Edgardo Díaz, the Deputy Minister of High Performance of the Ministry of Sport, Henyelberth Herrera, the director of High Performance of the IRDA, Nelson Dávila, and other personalities.
During his speech, Edgardo Díaz highlighted the positive impact of working on the sports bases of the state of Aragua, stressing that the articulation between clubs, leagues and associations guarantees a solid projection of athletes towards national federations.
“A task is being carried out that guarantees results for the state of Aragua, because where the club is, where there is a league, there will surely be an association, with an endless number of athletes who are considered to be the sports federations and who are going to become the country's athletes. I think that is the cycle we must complete, that's how we understood it and we really feel happy and proud,” said Díaz.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of High Performance, Henyelberth Herrera, highlighted the advances in preparing athletes for the next National Games, as well as the importance of infrastructure, comprehensive care and institutional support for sports.
