Bolivarian Government presents the book “Women of Science in Venezuela” at the headquarters of CANTV in Caracas

As part of the celebration for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, they presented the book “Women of Science in Venezuela” at the headquarters of Compañía Anónima Nacional Téléphones de Venezuela (CANTV).

The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, who participated in the activity, stressed that the book brings together the testimony of women of science, who work and continue to work for Venezuela and that “they will continue to do so for the Science Seed, so that knowledge can reign in this land with love.

The activity also included the participation of the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez; the Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Yelitze Santaella and the Minister of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples, Clara Vidal.

One of the women scientists who provided her testimony for the book said she was very honored and grateful to be in that group of honorees. “Each of our actions is not just for us, but for the community and for the entire Venezuelan people, we create knowledge for human beings,” she said.

The book “Women of Science in Venezuela”, with a compilation of 119 testimonies from Venezuelan women, was published with the support of the Bolivarian Government.
