As part of the
plan to accompany the proposals that emerged at the National
Youth Consultation, held on July 27, the national government began
funding 20 new socio-productive projects promoted by young people from the state
of La Guaira, aimed at economic and community development.
The governor of
the entity, José Alejandro Terán, stressed that the projects were
democratically prioritized by youth, and they respond to the first line of
transformation of the Homeland Plan: economic development. “We have
processing plants for hygiene products, celebration agencies,
tourist services, rehabilitation of fields and spaces for culture. Our
young people are generators of employment and have all the
institutional support to turn their dreams into reality,” he said.
Terán also
celebrated the level of awareness of Guaireña's youth. “I feel happy because
most of them directly contribute to economic transformation and it
gives us an idea of the high awareness that our girls have today, who
undertake and even generate jobs with their creativity and motivation to contribute
with their work to the revival of the country.”
From the
communities, the enthusiasm is palpable. The spokesman for the Guaicaipura Commune,
Carlos Méndez, celebrated the funding of a barbershop and crafts project.
“Young people are excited. This was not the case in
previous governments.”
For her part,
Esmeralda Montilla, from the Socialist Commune Todos Somos Mirabal, explained that her
initiative contemplates the creation of a biosaludable park and the recovery of a contaminated river, in line with the
ecological and productive axes of the Homeland Plan.
Regional authorities reported that within a maximum period of one month,
community meetings will be held to inaugurate projects in their respective sectors,
consolidating youth as protagonists of the new communal state.
