Bolivarian Government reaches 14 rehabilitated MERCAL locations in Caracas

The distribution of food, through public supply network programs, in the capital city is strengthened with the rehabilitation of a Mercal in the San Agustín parish in Caracas.

This was highlighted by the current Minister of Popular Power for Food, Major General Carlos Augusto Leal Tellería, who with this inauguration has reached 158, rehabilitated commercial establishments and number 14 in the Capital City.

He added that this weekend 496 fairs will be held in the sovereign countryside, where 22,000 tons of food are distributed with a percentage above 40% compared to private commercial markets.

For her part, Mayor Carmen Meléndez thanked this initiative and welcomed the fact that the goal of 56 locations has been established to be rehabilitated in the short term.
