Bolivarian Government reinforces health and vector control plans with scientific and technological support

The Sectorial Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, held a meeting this Tuesday with the country's new Single Health Authorities, in order to review the work agenda and consolidate the plans deployed throughout the country.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, during the meeting, strategies were addressed to reinforce the Science and Technology Plan for Integrated Vector Control, an initiative aimed at reducing the incidence of diseases such as dengue, chikungunya, yellow fever and malaria.

The day also addressed the strengthening of the Expanded Immunization Program, which guarantees the protection and health security of the population against preventable diseases.

Minister Gabriela Jiménez highlighted the work of professionals trained at the Hugo Chávez University of Health Sciences, who, under principles of ethics and social responsibility, contribute to strengthening the health care system in the country.

“With the commitment and dedication of professionals trained at the Hugo Chávez University of Health Sciences, we reinforce care for the people under principles of ethics and social responsibility,” he said.

The Sectorial Vice President emphasized that these efforts consolidate the commitment of the Bolivarian Government, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to the life, health and well-being of the Venezuelan people.
