Bolivarian Government remodeled Labor Education Workshop and Special Education Institute in Las Tejerías

Authorities from the municipality of Las Tejerías de Aragua delivered the fully rehabilitated and adequate facilities of the Labor Education Workshop (TEL) and the Santos Michelena Institute of Special Education (IEE), located in the Central Quarter of the town.

This important infrastructure project made it possible to optimize the learning conditions, integral development and job training of children and young people with special educational needs in the jurisdiction.

“This is the consolidation of the effort made by the local government, with the objective of strengthening educational quality in the municipality, depending on our children and adolescents, so we are carrying out this comprehensive rehabilitation, with resources from the mayor's office of the municipality of Las Tejerías,” said Mayor Régulo La Cruz quoted in a press release.

The recovery project included a profound intervention in the physical plant of the institution, ensuring comfortable, safe and optimal areas for the school community. Among the works carried out, the remodeling and aesthetic improvements of six classrooms and two therapy rooms stand out, the latter specially equipped for the psychopedagogical and motor approach.

In the same way, the reconstruction of two bathrooms and the complete adaptation of the kitchen area were carried out, in addition to the repair of walls, application of general painting, improvements to the drinking water network and a total renovation of the electrical system, which included the installation of high-efficiency luminaires, sockets and electrical outlets.
