The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, reported through her Telegram channel that the Venezuelan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ACAV) delivered a thousand musacea plants, the Hartón plantain variety, to producers in the Portuguese state, as part of actions to improve the quality of plant material through applied research and technology transfer.
The plants were developed under scientific protocols that guarantee their vigour and adaptability in the field, the result of technical work that promotes coordination between institutions and producers.
The minister stressed that in Venezuela science, innovation and territorial organization are combined so that the knowledge generated in the academy translates into concrete benefits for the agricultural sector. He noted that these actions strengthen the technical capacities of producers and promote sustainable practices aimed at consolidating productive networks that contribute to national development.
Jiménez stated that, with the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán and the support of the President in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to agri-food sovereignty and the well-being of the people.
