Bolivarian Government swears in UNPA in Aragua and delivers 35 outboard motors for fishermen

This Thursday, the swearing in of the National Union of Fishermen and Aquaculturists (UNPA) was sworn in on the waterfront in Puerto Colombia, Choroní, and 35 outboard motors were delivered to the entity's fishermen and women, as part of the 50/50 Revolving Fund for the repowering of the motor park.
The activity brought together fishermen from Choroní, Chuao, Cepe, Ocumare de la Costa, who took an important step in consolidating the organization of the sector, with the swearing in of the UNPA, Aragua chapter.
The swearing in represents an important step in consolidating the organization of the sector, integrating men and women of the sea into a national structure oriented to the participation, planning and defense of the interests of the fishing people, thus consolidating the organization of the popular fishing power as a single productive force at the service of food sovereignty and the national economy.
The event was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, and the governor of the state of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, who accompanied the fishing people in this new phase of organizational and productive strengthening.
In addition, the engines were delivered as part of the 50/50 Revolving Fund, a modality promoted by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, to facilitate progressive access to equipment that would improve the operational capacities of maritime workers. In addition, to increase production levels and ensure better conditions for fishing operations.
During the day, it was highlighted that this proposal was born about a year and a half ago in the state of Aragua, specifically by the fishermen of Cuyagua, who raised the need to create a supportive and sustainable mechanism for the renovation of the fishing motor park.
