The Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB) reported that it initiated investigations, administrative and judicial actions against officials of the institution after detecting disrespectful behavior and abuse of police force by officials attached to the Motorized Division, in Los Flores de Catia in Caracas, towards a citizen.

In a statement published on its social networks, the CPNB stated that it categorically and vigorously repudiates any act that dishonors the values and principles of the institution and reaffirmed its commitment to legality and respect for human rights.

“Immediately after detecting the incident, the institution activated the necessary protocols for the identification, capture and presentation of officials to the Public Prosecutor's Office,” the letter states.

It also confirmed that the Bolivarian National Police Force has no place for police abuses and irregular practices. “Our officials must strictly adhere to Venezuelan regulations and laws, with honesty, commitment and love for the country.”

The PNB reiterated that it is made up of worthy men and women ready to protect, defend and serve our people, and that it will work tirelessly to maintain transparency and trust in the institution.
