Bolivarian Teachers' Movement reaches more than 200 mobilizations against sanctions

Teachers, workers and mother cooks reaffirmed their commitment to continue fighting from the classroom

The Movement of Bolivarian Teachers is still deployed throughout the national territory, with more than 200 demonstrations demanding the definitive cessation of the sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union (EU) against Venezuela, which has led to the deterioration of the people's wages.

In its account on the social network Telegram, the Ministry of Popular Power for Education, reported that teachers, workers and mother cooks confirmed their commitment to continue fighting from the classroom, demanding the lifting of coercive measures to allow the full recovery of national income and the strengthening of living conditions in the education sector, from the Liceo Urbaneja Achelpohl.

In a review of the Última Noticias portal, he points out that Professor Wilmer Vázquez, a member of the Bolivarian Teachers Movement, explained that since April 11, the protests began.

“There have been 200 demonstrations in different municipalities across the country. In each municipality we have had an expression,” he said.

In addition, processing mothers, labor and administrative personnel from different educational institutions have participated in these activities, who have demanded the cessation of sanctions that continue to affect the pockets of Venezuelans, as Vásquez explained.

Likewise, Angélica Fassano stressed that educational activities continue in the country and that they have not stopped at any time.

“We are standing in our trenches, which are the classrooms, demanding that the U.S. government lift sanctions; we are not a country of war, but a country of peace,” he said.

Teachers and educational staff have also spoken out in the different regions of the country, stressing that sanctions prevent them from having wage conditions.

In the state of Guárico, from Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th of April, they will mobilize through the main streets and avenues of the region.

Under the slogan “Without sanctions, more economic income and welfare”, the Movement of Bolivarian Teachers and Workers in the Education Sector grouped its forces today in Easter Valley, Las Mercedes del Llano, Zaraza, Santa María de Ipire, Chaguaramas, El Socorro and Tucupido and are joining in the pilgrimage organized by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez to demand the end of the blockade.
