Bolivia's Attorney General's Office expands investigation into the attempted coup and adds three crimes

The Office of the Attorney General of Bolivia expanded the investigation into the failed coup attempt carried out on June 26, so in addition to terrorism and armed uprising, there are now the crimes of “attacks against the security of the president and other dignitaries of the State”, “destruction or deterioration of State assets and national wealth” and “misuse of public goods and services”.
In a statement, quoted by RT on its website, the entity indicated that so far there are 24 people arrested, including the former commander of the Army, Juan José Zúñiga; the former head of the Mechanized Division, Alejandro Irahola and the former head of the Navy, Juan Arnez.
They say that this case will be “a message against impunity and the non-repetition of the commission of very serious crimes that threaten popular sovereignty, external security and internal order of the country”.
