The Military Community Brigades (Bricomiles) are currently working to rehabilitate 11 schools in Apure state, which were affected by floods, said Education Minister Héctor Rodríguez.

Apure has 7 municipalities, and it is up to it to rehabilitate 11 schools, the material has arrived, and the work has started,” Rodríguez explained.

The minister also stressed that the Apure state deserves special treatment because of the floods it suffered during the winter season last year. “I ask the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure to work with the state team to see if we can double the speed in Apure, because the idea is to finish one and start the other,” he revealed.

Rodríguez regretted that the educational infrastructure was very affected by the rains. “Governor Wilmer Rodríguez told me that schools that were not affected were used as shelters, in that sense, I ask that work be accelerated in Apure,” he stressed.

He also mentioned that schools will be equipped with blackboards and canteens, and, specifically at the Ezequiel Zamora Bolivarian High School in the municipality of San Fernando, he will assume the creation of a shed to advance a chicken breeding project.
