A total of 3,036 houses will be visited by the Care Brigades for Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland in the Sucre parish of Caracas, the sectoral vice-president for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, planned this Tuesday during a deployment in the Los Frailes Commune. “We are going to check house by house which of the grandparents in this community is alone and who cannot take care of their things, if they have a health problem. We are going to verify the registration we have in the Patria System because surely there are many grandparents who are not registered, either because they don't have access to the platform or because they don't know it,” he explained from the Self-Government Room of that community. In this regard, according to a press release, Rodríguez asked community leaders and neighbors in general to help the brigades identify these cases in order to deal with them. “We are going to find grandparents alone, without company, but we are also going to find others who, although alone, are in good health, participate in the activities of the Grandparents Club, some of them even work, and that's fine, we will continue to support them with all social programs; but there are some who don't have anyone, for different reasons, or have a health problem and don't have the resources, that's what we're going to look for,” he exclaimed. The Comprehensive Care Brigades for Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Homeland were announced by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, on April 30. It is an initiative that brings together various State organizations, young volunteers, community governments, and others.
