Cabello after electoral processes: We always review based on the unity of our forces

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said on Monday that the revolutionary forces are under review to adjust the electoral machinery and continue to fight in unity, in connection with the recent holding of the municipal elections on July 27.

“In truth, we are in that review process, because we really want to win the 335 mayors and we won only 285, we have to review, everything needs to be thoroughly reviewed,” Cabello said during the PSUV press conference.

He explained that the review process evaluates the methods that work or do not work, what were the flaws in specific places, the potentials of other places, the role of the allied parties of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP), etc.

He stressed that all of this is done “thinking about the unity of our forces, of the clear validity of the legacy of Commander (Hugo) Chávez, of the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro and of the victory of our people.”

In addition, he noted that this Sunday the elections of the councilors of the original peoples were held. “69 municipalities across the country were electing the councilors; without news, in peace and quiet,” he said.

At the same time, he referred to the success of the First Popular Youth Consultation, which was held together with the municipal elections.
