The head of the Homeland Bloc, deputy Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recalled that the People, seeing media censorship of what happened on April 11, 12 and 13, 2002, organized themselves in the streets to rescue Commander Hugo Chávez and democratic dignity.

“The mobilization of the People began and the 'we want to see Chávez', 'Where is Chávez? ' The right wing felt the real terror, of the fear they have of an organized people,” Cabello emphasized before the plenary of the National Assembly (AN) on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the coup d'etat in April 2002.

In this regard, he highlighted the courage of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in the restoration of democracy and especially Jorge Luis García Carneiro “who took over with leadership” when the country needed it.

He stressed that the civic-military union succeeded in defeating the hatred of the fascists and that today it continues to defend Venezuelan sovereignty.
