This Friday, May 16, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that Venezuela has always welcomed migrants from other countries with open arms and lovingly.

“We here, lovingly, embrace, after the Second World War, people from anywhere in the world, lovingly, even after the coup d'etat of (Salvador) Allende, we welcome here in Venezuela how many Chileans, Argentines fleeing the dictatorship, we welcome them, and we never persecute anyone,” Cabello said during his show Sin Truco Ni Maña.

In this regard, he pointed out that like Venezuelans in other parts of the world, migrants from other countries have come to work here, proof of this effort is that in Carrizal, Miranda state, they built a church that is the replica of the Cathedral of the Virgin of Fatima in Portugal.

“To go there is to see the efforts of working people, so we receive how many migrants in Venezuela, who came to work, that's what Venezuelans do too,” he said.
