Cabello on extremist Omar González: If I show a photo here in El Mazo nobody knows who he is

During his Con El Mazo Dando program this Wednesday, August 2, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, dismantled the narratives promoted by extremist leaders about an alleged political persecution in the country.

In this regard, he emphasized that these types of maneuvers are part of a media strategy to justify self-exile and maintain funding schemes abroad at the expense of the country's image and its institutions.

When referring to the specific case of the opponent Omar González, he criticized his irrelevance within the national political landscape and questioned the use of social networks to manufacture characters.

“Who is Omar González? You ask anyone and no one knows who they are. If I show a photo here in the Mazo no one knows. He's an X! What's going on? That those people who weave a story that they are being persecuted in Venezuela went to other countries to tell stories about Venezuela,” he said.

He also exposed the contradiction of those who claimed to suffer persecution and who now return to the country without any setbacks.

“Those who left are returning to their country with the same Government, and no one is persecuting them,” he remarked and reproached the actions of those who took asylum in diplomatic offices to victimize themselves before international public opinion, citing the case of leaders linked to Vente Venezuela to confirm that there is no such condition of exile,.

“They got into embassies, they declared themselves persecuted, they exiled themselves and you take a picture of them and people don't know who they are... “, he said.
