Cabello reiterated the call to the Condominium Boards to participate in the National Popular Consultation of October 18

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, insisted on the need for all forms of organization to join the National Popular Consultation on October 18.

“The initial approach had to do with consulting the Community Councils, but we are respectful of all forms of organization and, without a doubt, each building is a form of organization, so following the guidelines of President Delcy Rodriguez, a call was made to incorporate the Condominium Councils,” said Cabello Rondón during the party's weekly press conference.

Cabello Rondón explained that this measure also emerges as a response to the effects recorded in various residential complexes as a result of the events of June 24, for which a pilot plan was activated by the condominium councils to deal with these cases.

In that regard, he ratified the call for participation. “Everyone who can join should do so. Here, no one is asked absolutely anything, except the need that their organization has,” he insisted.

“Those who live in buildings know how much it costs to repair an elevator, a water pump or waterproofing, and how difficult it is sometimes for people to make the contribution. The intention of the National Government is to help, through consultation and internal democracy, of each group, and that resources arrive,” he said.

He also guaranteed that those who participate will be given their resources to fix what they are proposing. “It's a big step because it goes beyond the structure of communes and covers sectors that are often incredulous, people who don't believe in this method, but who are now going to start seeing it in practice,” he said.
