Cabello: There are no restrictions of any kind to participate in the March 15 meetings

The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that there are no restrictions of any kind for Venezuelans to participate in the March 15 meetings.

“Everyone who wants to participate can do so. We have to open the door for them and let them participate with us,” said Cabello Rondón, during a press conference held by the National Directorate of the PSUV.

He stated that the assemblies should also be held in indigenous communities. “The brothers of the original peoples have their methods of choice.”

He explained that the Assembly will have three moments, and each one will be able to nominate up to five names of positions. “Moment one: nomination process for governor of the state, moment two: nomination process for candidates for legislators and legislators for the Legislative Council and then, moment three: nomination process for candidates and candidates for deputies for the National Assembly (AN),” she said.

He recalled that the deputies to the AN, the legislators, the legislative councils, and governors, are now joined by the representatives of our Guiana Essequiba.

“They are going to be elected for the first time, as decided by our people through a consultation,” he said.
