This Wednesday, October 7, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, vindicated the historic and epic nature of the victory won by Commander Hugo Chávez in the 2012 presidential elections.

“We must vindicate the historic nature of that victory, but we must also vindicate the epic nature of that victory,” Cabello said during the mobilization held in Caracas to commemorate 14 years of Chávez's electoral triumph.

He reaffirmed that the Leader of the Revolution was an upright man who remained with his people despite their pain. “He gave his life, but he left the road open to us; and on that path we are going, some of us would like to go faster, we adapt to the circumstances, always seeking that our people can enjoy the greatest amount of happiness possible,” he said.

He also confirmed that Chávez transformed Venezuelan politics and highlighted the loving bond he established with Venezuelans.

“In the past, if a man said I love you, they fell on him, Chávez broke with those schemes because the men on the marches, on the walks, in the villages, in the cities, in the factories, in the countryside told him: 'I love you, Chávez '. Chávez transformed the politics of this country, whoever doesn't want to see it is selfish and is pointing the wrong way,” he said.
