Cabello: With Commander Chávez, the soldiers found the connection between the Armed Forces and the People

The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that here in Venezuela the story is one before and the other after Commander Hugo Chávez.

During the National Youth Forum Becoming Aware of the Events of April 11, 12 and 13, Cabello Rondón recalled that “when we were cadets in the Fourth Republic, they called us' civilian ', because that was an insult at that time and Commander Chávez began to break with that.”

In that regard, he argued that the Venezuelan soldier, the low-ranking officer , found in Commander Hugo Chávez, “a connection between the Armed Forces and the People.”

“Chávez cut the history of Venezuela in two,” said Cabello Rondón.

The first vice-president of the PSUV, said that since Commander Chávez became President of the Republic, they began a media campaign against him. “On April 11 and 12, the channels, the media, closed their doors to the people's voice and opened it only to the voice that mattered to them,” he said.

“The presidents didn't govern here, families, business groups governed, they put the president in a shambles and controlled him, they appointed the president of the Central Bank, the ministers, the cabinet, they were the ones who managed the resources and when Chávez arrived, Chávez responded to them, with a flavor of Pueblo,” added Cabello Rondón.
