With the objective of curbing damage and vandalism against telecommunications infrastructure, the Anonymous Telephone Company of Venezuela (CANTV) activated, in the state of Táchira, a plan for training and joint action with citizen security agencies.

The conference was held in San Cristóbal, in conjunction with the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) and the Zone Command No. 21 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), where officials were trained to identify strategic materials and act against crimes affecting telephone and Internet networks.

During the training, the company's technical staff explained the structure and operation of the networks, allowing security forces to recognize key components and detect possible attempts at sabotage or illegal manipulation.

As part of the agreed actions, preventive patrols were activated on fiber optic routes and permanent surveillance in strategic power plants, with the objective of reducing incidents that directly impact the connectivity of communities.

These measures, according to a press release, are triggered by the increase in thefts and vandalism against infrastructure, whose interruption directly affects the communication of homes, businesses and public institutions.

CANTV reiterates its call to the population to report any irregular situation through 0212-5002000 and the VEN 911 line, as part of the joint effort to protect an essential service for the country.
