CANTV began work to bring fiber-optic services to the Antonio Ricaurte Socialist City in Aragua

CANTV began technical work in the state of Aragua to connect more than 600 homes in the Ciutat Socialista Antonio Ricaurte urban planning, located in Caña de Azúcar, Mario Briceño Iragorry municipality, to the Aba Ultra service.
Through coordination with the People's Power, the work of the technical staff contemplates the modernization of telecommunications networks through the installation of GPON (Passive Optical Network with Gigabit Capacity) technology.
According to a press release from the telephone company, in a first phase of the approach, the deployment takes place with the exploration of underground pipelines, and the establishment of the area route to carry out the distribution of the main and local fiber optic cables.
CANTV began with the construction of optical ports in this sector, as part of the sixth phase of the Maracay Optical Distribution Network, which also connects services to more than a thousand users in the José Félix Ribas and La Coromoto housing estates.
With the activation of Aba Ultra, homes and businesses in the Socialist City Antonio Ricaurte will begin to enjoy the benefits of the product, such as various high-speed Internet plans, IP telephony and streaming television with Aba TV GO.
