CANTV restores telecommunications services in Apure, Guárico and Amazonas

The Venezuelan National Anonymous Telephone Company (CANTV) re-established telecommunications services in the states of
Apure, Guárico and Amazonas, after the damage caused by the
recent flooding and overflow of the Portuguesa River in the La Negra sector, Camaguán municipality of the Güariqueña entity.
The company's
specialized personnel were deployed in the affected area, where they
carried out various maneuvers with the objective of restoring the interconnection as soon as possible,
despite the adversities encountered on the site caused by the heavy rains.
The works included the underground and aerial
laying of optical fiber, corrective maintenance
on the affected networks, configuration of technological equipment and
verification of the operability of the services.
According to a note from the state telephone company, these actions
took place over days and nights, following the guidelines of the Sectorial
Vice President of Public Works and Services, Jorge
Márquez, who inspected the area in the company of the Minister of
Public Works, Juan José Ramírez and the Minister of Transportation, Ramón
Velásquez Araguayán, in addition to the governors of Guárico and Apure.
