CANTV modernized connectivity in the municipalities of Libertador and Rangel in the state of Mérida with GPON (Fiber Optic) technology, benefiting residential users, businesses and institutions through the deployment of Aba Ultra, Aba TV GO and IP Telephony services.
The specialized CANTV crews executed the laying of 10 kilometers of optical fiber. These actions respond to the Technological Modernization Plan, aimed at ensuring quality services in sectors such as: El Campito, La Pedregosa, Mucurubá, Urdaneta Avenue and downtown Mérida.
These tasks, as reported by the company, were carried out in conjunction with the Telecommunications Technical Tables “December 8” and “Casco Histórico del Libertador”, through support and training on GPON technology and the Aba Ultra service.
Kary Uzcátegui, user of the Aba Ultra service in the El Campito sector, expressed her satisfaction after the installation: “The attention of the staff was very good and the service is excellent. Now I can communicate with my family members without interruption and watch my favorite movies with total fluency,” he said.
As part of the deployment, two Ultra Zones were activated in Plaza Bolívar in the Libertador municipality, offering immediate Wi-Fi connection by scanning a QR code. This initiative benefits both local residents and tourists who visit the entity.
