Carabobo FC beats Huachipato 2-1 and advances to the Third Phase of the Copa Libertadores

Carabobo secured his place in the Third Phase of the Copa Libertadores by beating Huachipata and leaving him out in a match corresponding to bracket 6.

Carabobo was superior, obtaining a 2-0 lead with one goal and another free kick. In the 28th minute of the first stage, Eric Ramírez scored the first, followed by Edson Tortolero, who scored 41 minutes into the same half. Although Huachipata tried to change the dynamic of the game, they only managed to score once through Cris Martínez (41' of the second stage), through a header.

Lucas Bruera's leading role established him as the best player of the match. The Carabobo goalkeeper showed his quality by holding back 10 shots and giving 4 correct passes.

Edson Tortolero was also key at the Huachipato-CAP Acero stadium. The Carabobo steering wheel stood out against Huachipata as he scored 1 goal, gave 9 correct passes and kicked 3 times on goal.

Huachipata's coach, Jaime García, had a 3-5-2 formation on the field with Rodrigo Odriozola in the goal; Nicolás Vargas, Rafael Caroca and Renzo Malanca in the defensive line; Maicol León, Santiago Silva, Claudio Sepúlveda, Lucas Velásquez and Ezequiel Cañet in the middle; and Lionel Altamirano and Maximiliano Rodríguez in the attack.

For their part, those led by Daniel Farías set out with a 4-5-1 strategy with Lucas Bruera under all three sticks; Jonathan Bilbao, Ezequiel Neira, Jean Fuentes and Alexander González in defense; Maurice Cova, Matías Núñez, Edson Castillo, Joshuan Berríos and Edson Tortolero in the middle of the court; and Eric Ramírez in the lead.
