Carabobo Football Club won the title of the FUTVE League Apertura Tournament after beating Academia Puerto Cabello 2-1 at the Misael Delgado Sports Center in Valencia.

The final tilted early when Eric Ramírez converted a penalty kick in the 26th minute, an action that came after an offensive sequence that mismatched the rival defense.

The garnet team widened the gap in the 58th minute with Loureins “El Tigre” Martínez, who finished a collective play initiated by Yohandry Orozco, allowing them to manage the pace of the match and hold the advantage until the final stretch.

Academia Puerto Cabello scored 90+4 with a shot by Edwin Pernía after a pass from Robinson Flores, although time was not enough to reverse the score and the championship was in the hands of the maroon team.
