“True democracy is the power that people have,” said the head of the Ven25+ Campaign Command and candidate for the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, during a house-to-house tour in the El Carmen neighborhood of Antímano, Caracas.
In his meeting with the community, he stressed that all decisions on local development must be taken by the people, to consolidate popular participation as the central axis of the political process.
During the day, the candidates of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) toured the Antímano parish, to hear directly the concerns and proposals of the inhabitants. The main focus of the activity was to reinforce the role of communes as spaces for organization and decision-making, with the commitment to strengthening their development and autonomy.
Rodríguez ratified the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to direct attention to communities.
“We went house to house through the El Carmen de Antímano neighborhood, to meet the needs of the town with the people they solve, in this beautiful Ven25+ campaign. With those of Nicolás and those of Chávez we will win!” , he said.
“The Venezuelan people defeated imperialism by rescuing little Maikelys, but that's not enough, we must go for more. With that same strength and tenacity, we will rescue our 253 migrants who are still under imperial clutches. We will not rest until they are returned safe and sound. Venezuela is not buckling!” , he said.
In addition, Vice President Rodríguez also accompanied the tour and highlighted the importance of the electoral process of May 25. During the day, it was emphasized that these elections will be a milestone in the country's political history, since, in addition to the election of governors, legislative councils and deputies to the National Assembly, for the first time a governor will be voted for in Esequiba Guiana.
