With the objective of building an ordinance for the regularization of the popular economy and the organization of public spaces, entrepreneurs from the 22 parishes of Caracas held a meeting this Tuesday.

“We are going to provide proposals in territorial matters with an organizational structure for the incorporation of the new participatory democracy into the legal framework to advance the construction of power for the people,” said the coordinator of Popular Economy of Urban Control, Reny Paruta, who stressed that the commitment is to take up the debate with the Popular Power in order to contribute to the different proposals for the National Assembly (AN).

He explained that these initiatives promote the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs to commercialize in specific spaces and the establishment of mechanisms to obtain different permits and licenses for economic activity.

“We have a fundamental economic, political, social and environmental proposal, such as the creation of the central parish market of El Valle to be able to return public spaces to the population,” said Pedro Montoya, a member of the Popular Economy Movement.
