CARACAS — LA VEGA/Candidato Maduro: My only commitment is to ordinary people

The candidate of the Venezuelan revolutionary forces, Nicolás Maduro, ratified this Tuesday, during a massive rally in the capital parish of La Vega, his commitment to the People to guarantee the construction of the Homeland.

“Nobody owns me, above my God and my only leader is the People; I don't have a political or economic mafia, I faced the oligarchy since I was 10 years old, as I remember, and my only commitment is to ordinary people, to good people, to our Homeland,” stressed the revolutionary leader.

He stressed that he has put his chest at the forefront of the battle. “They have tried to kill me more than 100 times and God has put his hand in because I have to fulfill a mission and I will fulfill that mission and the times ahead for Venezuela are for the better (...) I am ready, Nicolás Maduro, this young man from the neighborhoods is ready to be elected to the People, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela”.

Maduro invited the people to the Miraflores Palace, on the night of July 28, to celebrate the great electoral victory. “Every boss and street boss to the street, every community council to the street to celebrate, take every avenue and since we are in Caracas that Sunday the 28th, I invite you to celebrate the triumph there in the Presidential House, your house,” he said.
