CARACAS — LA VEGA//Maduro's candidate for independent opponents: Welcome to this rebirth and awakening of the Fatherland

During a massive rally in La Vega parish, in Caracas, this Tuesday, the candidate of the Venezuelan revolutionary forces, Nicolás Maduro, held the meeting he held during this day with independent opposition leaders to advance consensus that would consolidate peace in the country.

“They were mayors and mayors of the opposition, and there was one of the most important young leaders who have emerged in the opposition in recent years, Carlos Prosperi (...) I invited them to have coffee in Miraflores because they, on their own initiative, each made a statement saying that they were concerned about threats to peace, that they were tired of so much deception on the part of the right, declaring themselves independent and announcing their support for the people's candidate Nicolás Maduro Moros”, recalled the Bolivarian leader.

Maduro explained that at the meeting they talked and decided to “found a National Front for Peace, which includes all the leaders who, having been in opposition, want peace for Venezuela (...) And they told me, publicly: 'President, faced with the threats of a return of hatred, intolerance, violence, guarimba, the only option for peace in Venezuela is to vote for you Nicolás Maduro '. I said welcome to this rebirth, to this awakening of the Fatherland,” he said.

The People's candidate confirmed that he has the experience, the strength, the political and spiritual morality “to assume this responsibility and just as I tell the People, I told them, I will not fail them. I am going to lead this country on the path of peace, stability, growth, recovery and the construction of the future.”
