To offer a space where traditional instruments and state-of-the-art technological tools converge in favor of creative learning, the Mayor's Office of Caracas, through the Caracas Intelligent Foundation, marked an educational milestone with the launch of the “Science in Music” program, a training program that integrates sound art and digital technology.

During the opening day, students between 5 and 15 years old experienced the harmonious contrast between traditional instruments such as the violin, cello and xylophone and state-of-the-art digital tools, such as tablets, for sound creation.

The director of the Caracas Intelligent Foundation, Darwin Vargas, reported that the team is focused on developing programs that contribute to technological training for both children and adults.

He also thanked Mayor Carmen Meléndez for her support, stressing that this achievement aligns with the Plan of the Seven Transformations (7T) promoted by the National Executive.

“It is focused on the Plan of the 7 Transformations (7T) of the nation, specifically on the fourth (Great Social Transformation for Equality and Welfare) and the sixth (ecosocialism, science and technology) transformation, linked to education, science and technology,” he said.

For his part, the artistic director of the project, Salomón Rojas, celebrated the creation of the first national laboratory for musical-technological learning.

“Music goes at the same pace as technology, and it's important that boys and girls have access not only here in the Foundation's spaces, but throughout the country,” he said.

The Foundation announced that the formal enrollment process begins this Friday, March 6. The program is open to the public, without restriction of residence in the Libertador municipality.

In addition, it should be noted that the course, which will be held every Wednesday in the Glorieta building (Headquarters of the Mayor's Office of Caracas), Floor 1, Technology Office, will have two shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Likewise, those interested in enrolling must bring a copy of the student's ID or birth certificate, a copy of the representative's ID card and proof of payment for registration.
