The workforce of the Caracas Metro is carrying out the intervention of the maneuver zone located between the Propatria and Pérez Bonalde stations, as part of the second phase of the Metro Plan It Moves With You!
Through a publication on the institution's social networks, he explained that this work proposed and developed by the manager of Structures and Roads Maintenance, José Lugo, is carried out in two parts, the first, completed last Friday, February 27 and the second, which began this Monday, March 02, with the objective of maintaining safety and reliability in the passage of trains.
The tasks carried out by CAMETRO's specialized technicians focus on homogenizing the concrete slab (with a capacity of supporting between 350 and 500 kilograms per square centimeter), after replacing the wooden sleepers that support the rails and the different elements of the railway track in this maneuvering area.
The publication states that the activities have been carried out without interrupting commercial operation without affecting the service to users, so it has been necessary to activate a temporary single road (VUT), where trains will run both ways between Propatria and Pérez Bonalde.
The work carried out on these road devices and on the rest of the lines is with a 100% Venezuelan workforce, moving towards technological independence and saving resources.
