The telecommunications equipment of the Caracas Metro replaced 760 meters of optical fiber on the railroad at the Caricuao - Mamera interstation, the company said on its Instagram account.

He explained that these works were carried out after people outside the Metro workforce vandalized the area, putting their own lives at risk as they walked along fully energized roads, and when they stole this type of strategic material, they left the station without data transmission, which caused failures in the Single Electronic Travel System (SUVE); Closed Circuit Camera System, centralized control and telephony, with the Mamera, Caricuao and Zoo stations being affected.

From the C.A. Metro of Caracas, we urge the population that this type of action is a crime punishable by law, reminding them that all our facilities handle a high amount of electrical voltage, which puts safety at risk.
