Through the social network Instagram, the mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, reported that Operation Caracas Smile delivered corrective lenses this weekend to the inhabitants of urban planning Ezequiel Zamora, in Ciudad Tiuna, in the Coche parish of the Venezuelan capital.

“We came to Ezequiel Zamora urban planning, in Ciudad Tiuna, Coche parish, to deliver 176 corrective lenses to an equal number of people in this community,” he said.

He also explained that in total in urban planning, “980 lenses have been delivered so far; and through Caracas Sonríe we have already added 12,806 lenses throughout the capital city.”

Meléndez added that it is the result of the ophthalmic care offered through the Social Care Operation, which reflects the teamwork of the Caracas mayor's office.

“And we are still committed to strengthening the health of the people, who in this territory have different facilities for their primary care. Commitment fulfilled in Tiuna City!” , he said.
