From La Pastora, in Caracas, this Monday, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reiterated the commitment of the Bolivarian Revolution to peace for the population, regardless of political inclinations.
“We are obliged to preserve peace for us and for them (the opposition), because they don't want peace, they don't want peace for their country, they are betting, not on an election because every time there are elections they go to elections and after they lose they say 'fraud, I don't recognize the results',” said Cabello during a popular mobilization in the Venezuelan capital.
In this regard, he stressed that they will use the same script in the upcoming elections on July 28. “When the CNE (National Electoral Council) says that the winner of the elections is Nicolás Maduro with the People of Venezuela, they are going to come out and say 'fraud',” he reiterated.
He pointed out that “this has been their historical behavior, we know them, we don't need them to introduce themselves to us, we know what they are doing now.”
Cabello urged revolutionary forces to participate massively in the electoral process. “We have to make sure that no one stays at home. The United Socialist Party of Venezuela, the Great Patriotic Pole with allied parties, social movements, we have this organizational task of reaching every corner, every space of the national territory,” he instructed.
