Carlos Alvarado appointed as president of the Venezuelan Social Security Institute

The Minister of Popular Power for Health, Nuramy Gutiérrez González, this Friday, January 30, announced the appointment of Dr. Carlos Alvarado as president of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS), the Ministry of People's Power for Health (MPPS) reported in her account on the social network Telegram.

It should be noted that Carlos Humberto Alvarado is a surgeon, recognized as the Minister of Popular Power for Health who successfully faced, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic and his management at the head of the University of Health Sciences “Hugo Chávez Frías”.

The Venezuelan Government thanks lawyer Magaly Gutiérrez for her painstaking work at the head of the IVSS and congratulates her working class, professionals and technicians for their permanent commitment to the right to health of the Venezuelan people.
