Carnivals 2025 begin in Petare with sports and cultural activities

The head of Plan Antonio José de Sucre, Pedro Infante, announced the start of the Carnivals 2025 in Petare, with celebrations in 15 parts of the town. “Starting today, various sports activities such as football and basketball will be carried out, as well as recreational activities with inflatable mattresses, floats, costumes and troupes, among others. This event is promoted by the national Government, through the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Culture, with the support of recreational people in each sector.”

The festivities began in Petare in the Sucre municipality, in Miranda, with cultural activities that will last until Tuesday. Among them, the carrucha festival stands out, which promises fun for boys and girls during these carnivals.

In this regard, Infante invited the population of Miranda to visit recreational parks such as Francisco de Miranda and Parque de los Chorros, where tour guides will be available during the season, an invitation he extended to the inhabitants of Petare, La Dolorita and Mariche, to enjoy special events.

“An extensive program has been planned in each Community Circuit, with activities such as clowns, community cinema and other recreational activities. A concert and a parade of troupes and floats are also planned on Tuesday, culminating in a great musical show at seven in the evening,” Infante explained.

To ensure safety, the official also stressed that a police operation has been deployed at every point in Petare and called for caution, especially for motorized vehicles, to ensure a happy and safe Carnival for all citizens.
