The National Book Center (CENAL) awarded certificates to the winner of the 1st National Youth Literature Competition Teresa de la Parra and to the participants of the seminar In the Footsteps of Teresa de la Parra organized by the Venezuelan Storytelling Workshop School (ESTANAVE).

In this regard, the certificate was awarded to the Carabobeña student Indira Herrera as one of the winners of the contest in the Letters category, whose results were announced last April 23 during International Book Day, according to a note on the website of the Ministry for Culture.

“I am very happy to have won this award. At first I didn't know how to make a letter, but my coordinator's instructions helped me a lot,” she said.

For her part, Liliana Mota, professor at the Carmen Teresa Rosales School Educational Unit, located in Guacara, was proud of the student Herrera for following her instructions and the rules of the competition.

The activity took place at the Valencia Museum of Culture as part of the 20th International Book Fair of Venezuela in its edition held in the state of Carabobo.
