The Yaracuyanos FC team became the champion of the 2024
season of the second division of Venezuelan football after
equaling 0-0 with Anzoátegui FC, in the return match of the grand final.
The
Sorte team asserted their home status and took advantage of the 1-0 of the first leg at the José Antonio Anzoátegui stadium
in Puerto La Cruz.
In
a very even match where the VAR was the protagonist, after ruling out
a penalty in favor of the visit and a goal from the locals out of
place, the team led by Jhon Pinto managed to sustain the result
of the first leg to keep the victory.
Yaracuyanos was
the leader of the Occidental group, with the best score in the
regular phase, and then beat Aragua FC, Dynamo
Puerto and Anzoátegui in the Final Phase.
The Yaracuyan squad will return to
play the first division -if it meets the Club
License requirements- after doing so for the last time in 2021.
Yaracuyanos FC added a new title to its history since its founding in 2006, after winning it in 2019.
