The People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, criticized this Friday the statements of the extremist María Corina Machado aligned with the defense of the G7 against the hostile and illegal actions of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana against Venezuela.

“If there were any doubts about the traitorous behavior of this nefarious character, here is the most obvious evidence,” Gil said, sharing Machado's comments in which he talks about Guyana's supposed sovereignty over a maritime space to be delimited.

He stressed that “María Machado took advantage of the position of the G7 and reproduces the falsehood that gives Guyana sovereignty over an undelimited sea, where illegal concessions are granted to Exxon Mobil and Venezuela is directly threatened.”

The Venezuelan diplomat emphasized that “this is a shameless and criminal behavior, of a fascist who no longer has scruples or a homeland, capable of selling our sovereignty to their masters simply by obtaining support for their failed plan. The Venezuelan sun rises in the Essequibo, and no traitor to our homeland can take what belongs to us,” he said.
