Chancellor Gil: Western Asia must be consolidated as a nuclear-weapon-free zone

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, stressed that President Nicolás Maduro's initiative takes effect at a time when it is necessary to sow a path of peace in the Middle East through a negotiated solution to denuclearize this area of the planet.

“That truce that they have called and that they have said is a cessation of hostilities, must be consolidated that Western Asia is a zone free of nuclear weapons,” Gil said.

He criticized that the members of imperialism who are in the United Nations Security Council, “cover their eyes and turn a blind eye to Israel's illegal and secret possession of nuclear weapons.”

“Israel must be forced through mobilization to dismantle its nuclear arsenal for a new architecture of power in the Middle East,” he said.

He added that this mobilization supporting President Nicolás Maduro in convening the Summit for Peace and the End of the War in the Middle East expresses the solidarity of the Peoples for those in that region of the world who suffer the aggressions of the Zionist State of Israel under the orders of the genocidal Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Every missile that attacks humanity, against life and every missile that is aimed at women, boys and girls in Palestine, Syria or Lebanon are against humanity,” he said.

He assured that one of the most important deeds that this generation will have to carry out is to secure the future of humanity by putting a stop to imperialism and its allies such as Zionism, which is trying to re-colonize a region that decided to be free.
