Chancellor Gil: Women's organizations have been pioneers in the fight against war and injustice

From his telegram channel, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil commemorated the International Women's Day for Peace and Disarmament.

In this regard, she pointed out that it is “a time to reflect on the fundamental role that women have played throughout history in building authentic peace with social justice”.

Gil added that “women's organizations have been pioneers in the fight against war and injustice, advocating nuclear disarmament and promoting the peaceful resolution of conflicts.”

He added that “from Venezuela, we reaffirm our commitment to peace and the eradication of wars, both armed and unconventional, such as those imposed through economic sanctions. These unilateral measures have a devastating impact on society as a whole, but they are especially harmful to women and girls, who suffer the consequences of these policies.”
