The Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, during a rally in the state of Trujillo, on September 22, 2012, invited young people to take charge of the Bolivarian Revolution , of the Socialist Revolution.

“I am sure that you will demonstrate for the next 10, 20, 30 years what Venezuelan youth are capable of, what the Venezuelan people are capable of, what Bolívar's daughters and sons are capable of, he said.

Chávez reminded the youth that when they were not born or were being born, “Venezuela was sunk in a swamp, after more than 100 years of bourgeois governments, of Piti Yankee governments, which gave the soul and body of Venezuela to imperialism.”

Venezuela was plunged into the greatest of miseries; in the 80s Venezuela was a very poor country, very backward, weakened, backward, divided, confused, a country subordinated to imperialism, until the Bolivarian Revolution,” he added.

In this regard, he assured that with a lot of hard work the Bolivarian Revolution has managed to get Venezuela out of the swamp, since “we have begun to build solid foundations on solid and good land, to build a Homeland true, a large, free, sovereign, independent and developed Venezuela”.
