This Wednesday, the Government of the People's Republic of China expressed its “deep concern” about the situation in the Gaza Strip, denounced an “unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe” and demanded that Israel immediately cease its military operations on Palestinian territory.
The Asian government also asked Israel to lift the blockade to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza to alleviate the serious crisis that the Palestinian territory is going through, Telesur explained.
“We urge all parties involved, especially Israel, to immediately stop military operations, lift the blockade and siege, fully restore humanitarian access and avoid an even greater crisis,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun at a press conference.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the humanitarian situation throughout the Gaza Strip has reached “unprecedented” levels after 21 months of conflict, and cited figures from the World Health Organization (WHO), which has counted 74 deaths due to malnutrition throughout 2025, of which 63 have occurred this month, among those of 25 minors.
