This Monday, the spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, during a meeting with the media, stated that interested countries should not discredit or attack normal state relations between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation, CCTV details.

The spokeswoman said that the rights and interests of Beijing and Chinese companies must be respected, without blaming or provoking confrontations.

He also noted that, in the case of Ukraine, China has always maintained an objective and just position, making an active call for peace, promoting negotiations and facilitating a political agreement.

Mao Ning's statements come as part of the official visit to China by the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, who arrived this Monday to stay on April 8 and 9.
