Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov (+agreements)

The President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping held a meeting in Beijing with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov in order to strengthen relations and association agreements between the two countries.

“Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction have reached an unprecedented level, without any exaggeration,” Lavrov said.

The Russian Foreign Minister added that with the re-election of Vladimir Putin, the continued comprehensive strengthening of relations between Beijing and Moscow received additional guarantees, Telesur details.

Lavrov also pointed out that China and Russia will combat hegemonic and intimidating behavior, with reference to the United States (USA).

For his part, the Chinese diplomat indicated that bilateral relations are at a high level because they are based on the principles of non-alignment, no confrontation and no attack on third parties.
